Session Of The 13th Plenary Session Of The Party Building Since The Development Of The Cause Of Socialism

The Communist Party of China is the core of leadership for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Therefore, whether to build our Party successfully or not bears on the destiny of the development of Chinese socialist cause. Since the 4th middle plenary meeting of 13th session of CPC, our Party building has been facing with many grave challenges both international and domestic, and with the changes brought on in its self-development. Under the consequence, our party constantly strengthens self-building, and promotes the socialist cause from victory to victory by combining the practices of socialist construction with Chinese characteristics. The period of Party building form the 4th middle plenary meeting of 13th session to the 16th session of CPC can be divided into three stages. The first stage: from Junel989 to Octoberl992. On this stage, the Party Central Committee stresses that we should give first priority to ideological and political development in all its endeavors, should strengthen the anti-corruption struggles, should tie closely with the masses in point of the question exposed by the "89" political disturbance in Party building. At the same time, by conscientiously getting done with the examination and clearing-up work, the purity of its membership is maintained, the visualization and authority of our party remounlded, and the Party building strengthened. In doing so, Socialism China withstood the huge shock of drastic changes in Eastern Europe and the disintegration of the Soviet Union, national economy and society cause developed completely, and the reform and open made a new progress. The second stage: from Octoberl992 to September 1997. On this, stage, the Party Central Committee puts forward to arm the entire Party membership with building the socialism with Chinese characteristic theory of DengXiao-ping, requires to go deep into the anti-rotten struggle and to improve the party's work style and to build clean government. During this period, the notable achievements were gained in our country economic construction, and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation also gained a great progress. The third stage: from September, 1997 to November, 2002.On this stage, thethird generation of collective leadership puts foreword creatively the new fashion--"to stress study, political awareness and integrity" in strengthening the Party building, and puts forward the important thought of "three representatives", which is the great program of Party building based on the former explorations. Over these years, we have scored tremendous achievements in the economic and cultural construction, by and large, the people have become well-off, and our country enters the new stage to build a well-off society in an all-round way.
