China And Developed Countries, Third-party Logistics Industry Development, A Comparative Study

Logistics industry in China falls behind the developed countries, though we have made a great progress during recent years. China is becoming "the world factory" along with the globalization of economy. But the level of logistics industry has severe impact on the power of competence of the manufacturing industry. In order to improve it, from 2001 to 2005, the development of 3PL is the main object of our logistics industry, which has been stipulated in the program of the development our country. The rapid development of logistics industry will change the traditional situation that all things are done in one enterprise, reduce the unnecessary labor and waste and improve the competence of our enterprises.3PL is a new industry, and it is even newer in our country and is still in an early stage. Compared with the developed countries, we still have a long way to go in the field of industry scale, structure and profit. In the dissertation, it is described where we lag behind in comparison with the developed countries and the explanations are given in the analysis of the gap and all the factors that hinter the development of logistics in our country. Then it is proposed how to develop the industry logistics in our country.3PL is the goal of the study in this dissertation. I studied the 3PL in China against that in developed countries.The theory part included two chapters, the second chapter and the third chapter. In the second chapter I define the scope and the relative conception of industry 3PL, and I apply the study of the frame of structure, action and profit theory (frame of SCP) in the field of industry economics into the study of 3PL. And then the SCP frame in 3PL will come into being and I can define the main indexes the frame of SCP in the field of 3PL. In the third chapter, I analyze the progress of the division of labor of 3PL with the general idea of division of labor in the field of the new classical economics and then I find the power to make 3PL emerge and develop. I find the relation of the demand and supply of the 3PL through the analysis of the connection of the "the reward of the division of labor" and "transaction cost" in the field of the balance of outsourcing.The chapters from the fourth to the seventh are the part of practice comparison, which is based on the theory part, In the fourth, fifth and sixth chapters, I compareour country with other countries in the industry 3PL. In this analysis I apply the same system of indexes according to the frame of SCP to find the gap between our country and developed countries in the field of the 3PL and give some suggestions that we should extend the demand and improve the supply. In the seventh chapter, I compare our country with developed countries in the field of the 3PL on macro management, analyze the their difference and find the deficiency in macro management in our country, and then suppose the method to improve the macro management.In the last part I make a summary, and propose the method to improve the development of the 3PL of our country.I know that my ability is limited. So in order to prove the opinion in my dissertation, I have been working on collecting information and consulting the opinions from specialists and do my best to make the method of study in my dissertation helpful to practice, and I wish that can give some reference to the development of enterprises and the macro management on the 3PL of the government...
