The Central Entertainment District (ced)

In the 21st century, with the fastened process of the urbanization, the city function of Shanghai has been completed and enhanced, and the initial layout of modern Central Business District, Central Retail District and Central Entertainment District have been emerged. Although there is not much theme research about Central Entertainment District abroad and home, with the 5th reconstruction of the People Square, the broadening project of Xizang Road and the new round reconstruction of Nanjing Road, modern Central Entertainment District has already emerged the initial shape and become more mature in Shanghai. Meantime, Entertainment plays a more important pole in the tourism industry , especially in the product composition of urban tourism, and becomes an effective way to prolong the visitors' stay, improve the quantity and quality of tourism consumption, complete relating services for metropolitan exhibition and upgrade the image of the urban tourism destination as well.Based on the analysis in the four key questions-process, current situation, environment, objective and countermeasure in the development of Shanghai Central Entertainment District, this research specifies the form mechanism, restriction factors, existing problems and trend of Shanghai Central Entertainment District, and discusses the function made by Shanghai Central Entertainment District in the construction of modernized international metropolis, development of urban tourism industry and exhibition industry, further to give the suggestion and countermeasure for optimizing city function, collocating reasonably total layout of entertainment facilities and promoting the concerted development among Central Business District, Central Retail District and Central Entertainment District in Shanghai.This research will be specified in six chapters: Chapter 1, Preface; Chapter 2, City Function and Shanghai Central Entertainment District; Chapter 3, Configuration Analysis of Shanghai Central Entertainment District; Chapter 4, Development Environment Analysis of Shanghai Central Entertainment District; Chapter 5, Objective and Countermeasure of Shanghai Central Entertainment District; Chapter 6, Conclusion.
