Historic urban areas are important parts of historic cities of culture. As the developing of the tourist industry in historic cities of culture, the tourism development of Historic urban areas has been paid more attention than ever. However, there is still limited theoretical research on this problem. Based on Marxianism theory as and Maoist methodology, the pattern of Tourist exploiture of the historic urban areas is researched, case study with the Lian Hu Historic urban area, in order to provide a theoretical reference to the tourism development of the Historic urban areas.Historic urban areas are such kind areas that have relatively concentrated culture relics and historic sites, show completely the traditional appearance of some historical period and national's local characteristics. There are abundant tourist resources belonging to historical culture. For example, there are 77 tourist resources monomers in the Lian Hu Historic urban areas. Exploiture the tourist resource is the necessary work to the social and economy developing of the historic urban areas. Meanwhile, it is important to improve the infrastructure construction and to reform the resident's living conditions.Detailed investigations of tourist resource and tourist market are basic jobs of the tourist development in the historic urban areas. That is to say, that a successful development on historic urban areas depends on the following work, such as appraising the tourist resource, evaluating the culture of the tourist resource, analyzing the figure of the current tourist market, and predicting the future market. As epitome of the millennium imperial cultural City, Xi'an, Lian Hu historic urban area has a long history and a special position in Xi'an and China. This makes Lian Hu historic urban area having the conditions to developing as the key area of the Xi'an tourist destination. At present, there aresome problems of Xi'an's tourist market, such as low satisfaction degree to the tourist destination, short average time of staying, and so on. However, most of the visitors are interested in the cultural relics and historic sites in Xi'an. So, the Lian Hu historic urban area has a good market prospects on developing of cultural tourism and an important contribution to the sustainable development of the tourist industry of Xi'an.Ascertaining the tourist image of the historic urban areas is a vital work in developing historic urban areas' tourist industry. The image should be identical with the great image of the historical cultural city, can make origin image plumped, and can have much more traveling appeal. Based on the analysis of the image of Xi'an and the character of the Lian Hu historic urban area, its image is ascertained as The Soul in the Ancient Capital of Xi'an, that means: the Lian Hu historic urban area is the soul of Tang Dynasty, is the Millennium Residence of Muslem, is the Concomitancy of Five Religions, and is the focus of the city.Designing the tourist product is the most important work in the work of developing the tourist industry of historic urban areas and has a direct affect to the economy development of the area. This article takes the tourism image of " the soul in the ancient capital of Xi' an " as the focus, from four different levels, such as scenic spot, characteristic block, culture essay and tourist souvenir, etc. plans and designs the tourist products.Basing on the characters of the historic urban area, those marketing tactics are proposed: choosing the main products carefully, designing and making up reasonably, choosing market exactly, and expanding market full-scull. The industry management of tourism is the insurance of the correct development of the historic urban area's tourist industry. A series of manage policy are bring forward in the thesis.The pattern of developing tourist industry of historic urban areas is conceived in the end chapter.
