The Pims In The West Pacific Petrochemical Company Applied Research

After entried WTO , the petrochemical enterprise in China have to face the competition between domestic and external markets and resources. Information Technology is the fast way to promote the competency of whole petrochemical enterprise group in China.In this paper, it introduced the PIMS Process Industrial Model System, it was used in the WEPEC West Pacific Petrochemical Company. And some problems were referred to in using PIMS to constitute Plan of Production. Finally, it provided the methods and recommendations to settle the problems.Firstly, it introduced the background information. That involved WEPEC introduction; the function of Plan of Production; some problems in old planing process; the significance of bring in PIMS.Secondly ,it introduced the process of how to use PIMS. By this way we knew something about PIMS , they were the conception of PIMS, which technology was used in PIMS, how to use it in petrochemical enterprise. In the same time, there were some problems in the process of PIMS be used. The aim and reason of research in this paper were described.Thirdly, it provided some real cases of using PIMS. And explained the reason of that problems using PIMS. So, some of that problems were settled . However, some others puzzled.Fourthly, it provided the project of PIMS administration and the plan for settled the problems. That project and plan will be the direction in using PIMS. All of the problems were clearly.The significance of researched PIMS is that we understand the PIMS clearly and know the problems in the process using PIMS and provide the method in using PIMS.The process of this research created favorable situation to generalize PIMS for whole petrochemical enterprise group in China. It offered the good way to promote the competency of WEPEC.
