International economy unification and regional economy collectivization are the important development trend of current world economy. Especially RTA is conspicuous. Its number increases dramatically. Up to 2002, more than 250 RTA have been notified in the WTO and 172 have taken effect. Only during the year of 2002, about 30 FTA have been reached in the world. Recently, RTA nearly spread all over the world as the tide. Each WTO member averagely join in 5 RTA. Among the first 30 countries and regions in GDP, 27 have participated in free trade agreement. Comparably speaking, the development of economy unification of East Asia is slower, not only falling behind the situation of global unification, but also the development of regional economy. East Asia countries has realized this problem and commenced to quicken the development of RTA.The establishment of CAFTA not only concerns the trade development and policy implement, but also cause the attention of academic circles abroad and domestic. This article makes the analysis on the economic unification of ASEAN and CAFTA from the view of comparing study. On the basis of internationally economic unification, theory and new regional economic value analysis, it explores the benefits effect in static and dynamic states of economic unification of ASEAN and CAFTA. And by comparing their modes and contents, it deep analysis the internationally competitive ability of China and ASEAN respectively. Also it deep analysis the competitive advantage of bilateral trade through applying industrially international competitive ability index. This points the direction for the cooperation of advantageous industry of both sides after the establishment of CAFTA. Lastly, I hope that this article can promote the development of CAFTA and further the research of this subject through the above analysis.
