City is the symbol of the modem civilization of a society, and it is the center of economy, politics, culture and education, and it is the gathering place and transition hinge of transportation , and it is the gathering place of the modem industry. Taking a general view of the histories of the countries all over the world, we can see that China ' s urbanization starts late with slow and low development, and it has big gap compares with the world average urbanization lever, and the lagging of the urbanization has affected and counteracted China's pace of social economy development. The urbanization has great importance to accelerating China' s economic development and social progress. Since implementing the opening and reform policy, especially with the development and maturing of Chinese market economy, our urbanization course has enjoyed quiet great development. But because of the too many historical debt and weak economic base, the pace of Chinese urbanization pace is falling behind the pace of the industrialization, which will seriously affect the sustainable, rapid and health development of our economy and society. At present, the "three problems concerning the farmers" are confusing the Chinese government. The farmers' income is not much, the pace of the industrialization of agriculture is very slow and the effective market demand is not sufficient. While accelerating the urbanization has important promoting effect to improve the consumer demand, transfer the labor in rural area and enhancing the industrialization of agriculture. Therefore, this essay proposed some active , practical and operative solutions and measures aiming at the problems now existing in today s urbanization process so as to exert some help on the sustainable, rapid and health development of our economy.In recent years, the research results about the urbanization all have some deficiency.First, most of the researchers study the urbanization problem from their own field; Second, most of the research are concerning on the problems appear in certain time, for example, in the middle of the 80' s, the problem of the superabundant labor of the rural area is obvious, which has caused a discussion about developing the small town to solve the superabundant labor of rural area; Third, most of the researches are only talking about the urbanization itself, but few are discussed how to realize the urbanization. In this essay, it considers the urbanization is a systematic and dynamic project, and it needs the comprehensive research. We should study the strategy on how to realize the urbanization, and find out a correct road from the conditions, environment needed by the urbanization. Nowadays, researches on this aspect are not many.This essay is consisted of the prelude and text.
