China's Insurance Business Innovation Research

There are three growth patterns of insurance industry in the world: extensive-operation pattern, intensive-operation pattern and innovative-operation pattern. In developed countries and areas, their insurance industry has finished the change from intensive-operation pattern to innovative-operation pattern. However, in China, the insurance industry is still on the stage of shifting from extensive-operation pattern to intensive-operation pattern though it has made great progress since the China's reform and opening. And China's insurance industry is faced with many obstacles that can be only resolved by means of innovation. They are: How to satisfy the different demands about the insurance products; How to improve the china's insurers' competitive ability to counter with the challenge from foreigner after entry into WTO; How to adjust China's insurers to the verifying situation of manage environment and risks; How to take advantages of the communication technology and accelerate China's insurance development; So it is very important to make a systematic study on insurance business innovation.The dissertation, in which use standard analysis and demonstration analysis, emphasis on theory discussion as well as bring forward feasible policy suggestion. In the former section, the dissertation does the theory analysis for finance innovation and insurance innovation from the angle of standard analysis. In the later section of dissertation discuss insurance business in developed countries and China. At the same time, the dissertation uses comparative method. By the comparison analysis of insurance business aboard and at home, based on using the experience of developed country for reference, combing with Chinese reality, the dissertation give development suggestion of Chinese insurance business.In Chapter 1, the paper introduces the relative finance innovation theories and then gives some constructive work on concept of insurance innovation. In Chapter 2, the paper introduces and analyzes the practices of different developed countries, including bancassurance, insurance assets securitization, internet insurance, by the means of comparative method. In Chapter 3, the paper analyzes the necessity and possibility of the innovation pattern of China's insurance industry on the basis of the analysis of the history and the characters of China's insurance industry. And in Chapter 4, the paper gives its suggestions on innovation of China's insurance business.This paper makes some innovation as following: Firstly, it made a scientific definition on Insurance business innovation. Secondly, it analyzes the development of insurance industry by the way of innovation. Thirdly, it makes a fairly analysis on the experiences of foreign countries. Fourthly it gives some practical suggestions on innovation of China's insurance business.
