Nowadays, more and more companies have come to realize that beside competition, it is more significant of cooperation between companies to the result of "win-win" situation. So the theme of our age is co-opetition. Basis on this management ideology, strategic alliances appeared from 1970, and now it has become one of the most essential strategic options for the company's development.In the paper, the author first make a general introduce of our era of co-opetition, which can explain the necessity of strategic alliances. Then the resource-based theory, the value chain theory and transaction costs are cited to make the clear of the drive elements for strategic alliance from different visual angles. Thirdly, the strategic alliances are classified to two kinds, one is called the common form, the other is the creative form, and then following the discussion about form tendency of strategic alliance. Fourthly, the method for the management of strategic alliance is proposed, which is useful for the practice of strategic alliance. Later a systemic frame for the evaluation of strategic alliance is made by the author, which is made up of by three aspects that are the selection of partner, the fit of cooperation and the efficiency of results. Finally, through the research of the status quo of strategic alliance in our country, several advices are advanced for the alliance management in China.Through this thesis, the author expects to push the academic research of strategic alliance and give some useful advice to the business practitioners. |
