China Southwest Airlines Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Systems Project Implementation

Content:The China Southwest Airlines (abbreviate it to CSWA ) is the fourth largest airlines in China. For improve the enterprise's competition ability in market after China join WTO, CSWA buy Intentia MOVEX software to implement their Maintenance & Engineering system ( abbreviate it to M&E) which have CSWA local business feature in 2000. In all China airlines, " flight security " is the core business in enterprise management. For all business in airlines, the most important business is pilot management and airplane maintenance in flight security. So, M&E system and SOC system is the most important IT system.M&E system is a IT system and it's main mission is to create engineering technology, production, maintenance resource, and provide assistant management for quality control. By computer manage maintenance information, create management flow, achieve enterprise informatization step by step and provide support for reducing maintenance cost, improving management level, economy benefit.CSWA is the first airlines witch have implemented M&E system in China. It is fail or success, will affect airlines implementation M&E system's progress. The project implementation method is the most important means for guarantee project success. So, to summarize and analyze it's implementation method, will give other airlines some revelations and help, improve project success probability.The author of article is project manager of CSWA M&E system. From1998, I attend all prophase preparation and project implementation work. According to my experience and study, I have summarized and analyzed project implementation method and success experience. This article include three segments. The first segment introduce CSWA M&E system project background, range, and implementation content.The second segment discuss M&E system implementation method.The third segment summarize CSWA M&E system success experience.
