Highway, as the base of the system of integrated transport, possesses unique effect on the development of country economy. In the last few years, with the standing speeding economic improvement, our government adopts to the policy to stressfully support traffic industry especially highway and strengthen the investment to basic establishment, our road build taking on spanning development. So, to research about highway investment and to carry through quantitative analysis on it has important meaning to accelerate the development of highway. It also can provide some quantitative advice for all grades of states government and enterprises, especially for the transportation to make out the investment on highroad, to make decision and to take forecast. On the basis of statistics, this paper probes into quantitative analysis of highway investment with Statistic soft EVIEWS, SPSS, EXCEL etc. The whole paper is divided into four chapters, chapter two to Chapter four being the main body of discourse.The first chapter sets forth the notable achievement to highway build and the importance to increase the investment to highroad and sums up the main theoretic conclusion.Embarking on the conception of investment structure, Chapter Two demonstrates the area structure and capital source structure of highway investment in our country. It puts up quantitative analysis on the otherness of area structure in highway investment by means of ANOVA analysis and rank test of non-parametric test in order to find out whether the extent of the otherness change. By means of Cluster Analysis Chapter Two demonstrates on the capital source structure of highway investment from 1991 in order to reflect on the change of capital source structure.The development level of country economy and the distributing proportion of country production between investment of capital asserts and consumption restrict the investment scale of capital asserts in a certain time. Simultaneity rational investment scale is in favor of harmonious and stable development of country economy. So Chapter Three discusses the relationship betweenIhighway investment and national economy applying to the up-to-date Time Serial Analysis. Firstly, it debates their relativity. Secondly, it analyzes whether the correlativity is co-integration relationship (namely the long dynamic equilibrium relation) and estimates Error Correct Model between highway investment and national economy. Lastly, it makes further research about whether the relationship is Granger Causality relationship.Chapter Four develops input-output model to quantitatively analyze the contribution of highway investment to economy increase. On the one hand, it relatively roundly researches the contribution of highway investment to national economy.
