On The Port To The Changes And Development Of Modern Logistics Service Center

With development of Logistics in China, there are lots of new challenges faced by all the traditional industries. Comparing with those of the advanced economies, technology, managerial efficiency and service quality of Chinese logistic industry need much improving.In the perspective of its operation, logistics should be an optimal integration of warehousing, distribution, transportation and other services. Therefore, the further development in logistics requires a series of new theories and techniques. With more and more globalization, the competition in Chinese logistics market would be fiercer.Within the logistics framework, transportation is my main concern. Although a number of Chinese freight transport companies are trying to upgrade themselves as the 3rd-party logistic providers, they are still weak in market research, operation, re-engineering, and complete innovations of their managerial system.This thesis presents the trends of logistic industry in our country and illustrates how to program the logistic system of port logistic system. It also introduces some programming approaches and studies how to optimize port logistic system. Basing on Shanghai port logistic system, this paper brings forward principles and techniques in transforming the traditional port system to modern logistic system.Its main contributions are as follows:Firstly, it argues the necessary of developing transportation system and presents existing problems and feasible resolutions basing on studying traditional transportation system and modern logistic system.Secondly, it presents orientations of development of logistic system in port companies. Setting forth principles and resolutions of logistic system of those companies.Thirdly, it also puts forward strategies of becoming a general logistic company for a port company.At last, this thesis also presents an evaluation index system and evaluates the programming approach of Shanghai logistic system.This paper tries to provide some principles and ideas in reforming port companies. It makes sense to both the theoretics and the practical business in developing logistic industry in port companies.
