On The Rmb Safety And Protection Of The Law

Renminbi is the legal currency in China and the sole Chinese legal tender. It's entrusted the unlimited liquidity by Chinese laws and its circulation is enforced by government power. The Renminbi safety in this article means the safety itself, that is, the safety in issuing, circulating, applying and reclamating.To this day, there're five editions of Renminbi which emerged from the period of Chinese liberation war. The legal system for its security has been improved step by step. From the common program of the Chinese people's political consultative conference to the law of the People's Bank of the People's Republic of China and then to the Regulation of the PRC on Renminbi by the State Council of the PRC on February 3rd, 2000, the improving legal institution has provided very strong legislative authority for its security. Owing to many subjective and objective factors, there're many problems to be settled urgently for its security status.In this article, the author suggests three points to improve Renminbi safety by analyzing its security status on the basis of introducing its security history. (I) The safety on Reminbi issuing. Renminbi issuing is an action that the People's Bank of china puts cash into the circulation. The administration should be strengthened because it links with the stabilization of currency value and the achievement of monetary policy. At the same time, it should prohibit currency action such as printing and issuing of substitution currency. And the draft and patterns of Renminbi should also be protected . (II) The safety on Renminbi circulating and applying. It centralizes the currency of anti-counterfeit. The existence of counterfeit currency has its cause. It should crack down on serious criminal activities in currency safety on the basis of cause analysis and the improvement of anti-counterfeit currency system. (Ill) The safety on Renminbi reclamating. Renminbi would be worn down to mutilated currency after many circulations. The mutilated currency would not only damaged Renminbi images and reputation but also pressure its reclamating and cremation. Mutilated currency is usually refused and it would harm the interests of the holder. We can say that the mutilated currency would benefit neither the nation nor the people. So the reclamating of mutilated Renminbi is necessary for its security.
