Revenue Management(RM) is one of the scientific management methods and research hotspots of airline company passenger transportation in recent 20 years. It took a long time for aviation industry to find Revenue Management methods. This paper mostly researches on the overbooking in Revenue Management of airline company. History background of Revenue Management development was investigated based on theory. Development situation of Chinese aerial transportation, basic concepts and main methods of Revenue Management were analyzed. Revenue Management began in mid term of 80's and develops greatly nowadays. Up to date, more than 100 airline companies are dealing in Revenue Management and use Revenue Management system, while more and more companies is considering to implement. On one hand, it shows that Revenue Management is general course of development and should be adopted. On the other hand, it shows that Chinese civil aviation industry, started relatively later, has the ability to catch up with the most advanced level of the world in this field. The paper discusses characters of Revenue Management for airline company, bring the risk problem in Revenue Management replace former premise hypothesis of risk with the concept of risk Revenue Management. Analyze the risk meaning, source and contents of Revenue Management. The key research is on the background, risk meaning (No-show, Denied Board, etc.) and risk solving methods of overbooking. At the same time, analyze the risk solution of Revenue Management for airline company and the practical applying research on Revenue Management as an example of Revenue Management of Beijing-Seoul line of Korean Airline. The last explain the present situation and developing direction in the future of Revenue Management for Chinese airline companies. This paper is focused on Revenue Management of airline company, the problems of oversales and overbooking are studied, and get an important result. Oversales has two kinds of risk, overbooking risk and non used seat risk. These risks can be decreased by Revenue Management.
