| Economic development cannot skip several important stages, Neither does regional economic development .It is of importance to research deeply and acquaint exactly the regional economic development stages of china's coast and interior since 1978. In western, there are plenty of theories about economic development stages on which this dissertation is based, but there are few person to make researches on dividing economic development stages; In china, both of above research are fewer. So it is essential for china scholars who study the regional economy and economy statistics of china to compare and evaluate regions by means of index system of economic development stages.This dissertation lays on quantitative and qualitative analysis to study regional economics development stages of china, along a clue that is from theory to methodology and then empirical analysis. The dissertation is organized as falls:1.Chapter one is introduction that has two topics. The first presents the stage feature of economic development stages, and analyzes the manifest of the stages in series and space. The second reveals the meanings of this study.2.Chapter two is the section to explore theories about economic development stages. In this section, the author summaries and comments on the economic development stages theories in term of time order.3.Chapter three concerns on methodology. Firstly, it discusses how to make up the index system for dividing economic development stages. Secondly, it introduces and evaluates the methods by which domestic scholars conduct their researches and gives the concept for dividing stages appropriately.4.Chapter four is empirical analysis. In this section, it compares and evaluates economic development stages in the coast and interior of china by the means of improved TOPSIS method, It suggests that the country should explore the Western through the strategy that is not point-axis exploitation but network exploitation. |
