Comparison Of Chinese And Western Moral Education

Facing up to the coming 21 St century, 5mb-west are both contemplating and studying the problem of cultivating talents across the century. They both think that the moral education should be the primary among the whole education in the 21st century. Studying the moral of Chinese and Western is to open out the developing rule of moral education in west, to assimilate the experience and lesson, so we can use them as reference , then improve and complete moral education. The first part of this article expounds the similarity and difference between Chinese and western moral education. At first, as for the way in moral education in China and west there is some sameness. The part not only expounds the sameness, but also expound the distinctive difference between China and west in traditional thought and practice in moral education. The difference has been an important part of social custom and national spirit through academically expounding and practicing respectively. Form natural environment, mode of social production, political system and model of thinking, the second part of the article deeply and elaborately analyses the background resulting in the difference. The third part of this article stresses what the comparison expresses .at first, during the construction of modern moral education theory we should extract the part meeting present social need in Chinese traditional moral education, prove them and combine moral education in China with that in west. In addition , the article comes up with one question on which Chinese moral-oriented education should attach importance to the future practice , that is putting moral education on the first place ; expanding the content of it; improving the executive method of it. In all, in the process of comparison we must see ourselves squarely and study the west scientifically. In constructing Chinese special moral education, we should critically assimilate, draw on the experience, develop and innovate, strengthen and improve Chinese moral education, in order to make socialist modernization construction develop healthily.
