In the new era, the number and size of Party members, as well as its growth rate, is impressive. Since its foundation, the Communist Party of China has attached great importance to the building of organization. Confronted with the new global, national, and intra-Party conditions, the Party Central Committee made the great decision of establishing and improving the exit mechanism of Party members to maintain the progressiveness and purity of the Party, as well as to improve the overall quality of the Party members, entering a new historical stage of Party building. With approaching of the key stage for the reform, anti-corruption, the traditional form of realization of exit mechanism of unqualified Party members, is not quite fit for the needs of comprehensively contemporary deepening reform. Therefore, the Party and state are confronted with the problem of how to improve the identification and exit mechanism of unqualified Party members and implores implementation of the mechanism, in order to screen the unqualified ones from the whole Party members and to get rid of them on the premise of procedural justice.The thesis starts from an introduction of exit mechanism of unqualified Party members of the Communist Party of China. Then it will illuminate how the mechanism are more strict and more practical compared with that of foreign parties. By reviewing the course of history and experience of the mechanism in the periods of revolution, construction and reform of the Communist Party of China, the thesis will talk about both the achievements and the problems of the pilot project, and further give some advice of how to improve the exit mechanism.
