Affected by globalization and the market economy, many of the traditional culture in today’s society are faced with the problem of breakage and disappearance. However, on the contrary, in recent years, the restoration of some of the traditional culture has also been undergoing. The "root" of the revival of the traditional culture in modern society has implied many social factors. Therefore, we should observe the social and cultural phenomenon carefully. The effective exploration and research of the "implication" of a variety of social factors are of great significance.This paper studies the recovery of the "Chagaan Sulte" sacrificial tradition in Xianghuang banner from the perspective of cultural anthropology. The introduction explains the main reasons of choosing the topic, the research background, purpose, significance, methods, and field surveys. The first chapter summarizes the major literature and Mongolian scholars’explanation of "Sulte". The second chapter introduces the backgrounds, views and evaluations on the the resuscitation of the "Chagan Sulte" sacrificial tradition. The third chapter analyzes the elements of "Chagan Sulte" sacrificial tradition mainly from the five aspects. The fourth chapter mainly discusses this ritual from five aspects of "function", "identity", "relations to the country", "relationship with the temple" and "cultural reproduction and cultural resources" with the perspective of "social behavior". Conclusion section summarizes the main content of four chapters in order to emphasize own "self-improvement" and "self-reliance" factors of the traditional culture when protecting it so as to enhance the combination of traditional culture and modern society and effectively inherit the traditional culture.
