Ideological and political work, the fine tradition of the communist party of China and the political superiority, is the lifeline of revolutionary and economic work, and all other work. MAO zedong started the party’s ideological and political work during the period of Agrarian Revolution War since he had created a unique complete system of theory and practice of ideological and political work. This system, a shining example for the party’s ideological and political work, is viewed as the product which combines the Marxist theory with the practice of Chinese revolution, and also the result of the collective struggle of the communist party of China.During the period of Agrarian Revolution War, in the vast rural area with backward economy and culture, how to use the proletariat ideology to encourage farmers to participate in the revolution? How to reform the red army of workers and peasants farmers whose main component is farmer and correct any left-leaning or right-leaning mistakes from ideological line and the perspective of method? How to awake people to oppose Japanese in the peril time of the nation? The solution of these problems largely depends on carrying out ideological and political work comprehensively and effectively. Mao Zedong applied the Marxist materialist dialectics which unifies the principle and flexibility into revolutionary practice. He also solved practical problems in the revolutionary struggle through the ideological and political work, and continuously explored, expanded and deepened materialist dialectics with the change of revolutionary situation. This paper studies MAO zedong’s ideological and political work, taking the revolutionary struggle in the period of Agrarian Revolution War as the main line. Additionally, this chapter also summarizes the historical experience in MAO zedong’s ideological and political work in the Agrarian Revolutionary War. For instance, the class line is the essence, the mass line is the foundation, and the ideological line is the leader. The enlightenment of these experience on our party and army building in the new period, the new rural construction and the modern enterprise management is also analyzed. To be specific, the revolutionary work, aimed at taking history as a mirror, is supposed to inherit the fine tradition of ideological and political work in the time of Agrarian Revolutionary War, carry on the spirit of Jinggangshan, Soviet area spirit and the Long March spirit, and constantly reveal their value.
