Corruption and bribery crime along with the development of the reform and opening up and socialist market economy growing, brings the huge threat to the state and society, the serious influence the social stability and economic development of our country. China has long been a crackdown was the attitude of this kind of crimes of corruption and bribery, but momentum has not been silenced by embezzlement and bribery crime, still very rampant. The reason must be various, single from the point of view of criminal law, we from the investigation and analysis of judicial practice in recent years, the author thinks that the penalty for corruption and bribery crime caused by improper punishment of punishment is the main reason causing rampant corruption and bribery crime. Corruption and bribery crime light punishment not only contribute to the growth of crime, also violated the basic principles of criminal law in our country, hindered the implementation of the penalty purpose, waste the judicial resources, hit the enthusiasm.
