| This thesis is based on the diplomatic thoughts of Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao over the past three decades since reform and opening-up. Through analyzing China's diplomatic behavior with the perspective of value, my study aims at investigating the history of China's diplomatic value. The paper explores China's diplomatic value from definition, theoretical connotation and factors, etc.Chapter One of Introduction: presents the problem; analyzes the research necessity from three layers: global environment, subjective requirements and cultural origins; provides a comprehensive literature summary on China's diplomatic value by the domestic and world academic circle.Chapter Two, Three, Four of Text: confines the core concepts of'diplomatic value'; builds a research model of'international situation + national interests + traditional culture→diplomatic thoughts of leaders→diplomatic value'; highlights the major contents of China's diplomatic value on the time of Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao; concludes the connotation from political, economic, cultural and secure perspectives; summarizes the basic characteristics since reform and opening-up by vertical and horizontal comparison.Chapter Five of Conclusion: presents the inspiration and reflection. On one hand, China's diplomatic value has answered the way of China's integration into the world, and shows China's sense of responsibility as a emerging power. On the other hand, its uniqueness and introverted nature make a long way to acquire world's recognition.In a word, China's diplomatic value since reform and opening-up is the driving force of diplomacy's development. It is in line with basic national conditions and requirements of the times. It illustrates China's location to her own future, expectation to future world, and determination to achieving the value. |
