In ancient China, "Gong" "Si" issue has always been a sensitive topic, Early in the ChunQiu Period, People have been started to criticize the behavior that "Gong" harm "Si". In Warring States Period, with the strengthening of national sovereign powers, All states have begun to fight the forces which harm the sovereign power in varying degrees. This behavior is reflected in the Legalist thought at this time, and was inherited and carried forward it. As the Legalism Ideology Synthesizer in Warring States Period, Han Fei zi clearly put forward the view of "Ignore Si" in his works of HanFeiZi-GuiShi from the perspective of maintaining and strengthening the autocratic monarchy system, which laid the mainstream ideology of Li "Gong" Mie "Si" of ancient China in dealing with the issues of "Gong-Si" relationship. This article will analysis the concept and category of "Gong and Si" of Western Zhou Dynasty and ChunQiu Period, as well as the similarities and differences of "Gong and Si" during this two period from the basic meaning and application range of "Gong" and "Si" in bronze inscriptions materials and Classical Books. This article will further reveal the social performance of "Gong-Si" relationship and the roles of social development at that time in the development of "Gong-Si" relationship.This article consists of five parts. The first part is exordium, which expounds the research status of Scholars about concepts of "Gong" and "Si" in Pre-Qin Period, and explains this article's research Significance and aim.The second part discusses the concept and category of "Gong" and "Si" in Western Zhou Dynasty. Firstly, This part analysis the basic meanings and extension of "Gong" and "Si" in Western Zhou Dynasty which from the word "Gong" and "Si" and the core words starting with it in bronze inscriptions and literature of Western Zhou Dynasty. Then it will analysis the "Gong-Si" relationship situation of the Western Zhou Dynasty.The third part is the key contents of this article. This part discusses the concept and scope of "Gong" and "Si" in ChunQiu Period from three respects. Firstly, It will analysis the basic meanings and extension of "Gong" and "Si" in ChunQiu Period which from the word "Gong" and "Si" and the core words starting with it in literatures of ChunQiu Period. Then through comparing, shows the development and changes of concept of "Gong" and "Si" in the two periods. Secondly, this part discusses the social performance of the concept of "Gong" and "Si", which mainly displayed between the relations of GongShi and QingDaFu, It was also shown in people's attitude- "Advocate Gong" and criticize "Si". Finally discusses the role of the development of "Gong-Si" relationship in social development in ChunQiu Period.The fourth part discusses the main manifestation of "Gong-Si" relationship in Warring States Period. In the early Warring States Period, The strength of QingDaFu's clan has reached a sufficient degree that could subvert GongShi through long-term development. Eventually, the incident occurred that Jin was divided by Han,Zhao,Wei and TianShi seized the power of Qi. Meanwhile, by the political reform, every states generally established the authoritarian political system and the election officials system of giving reward according to the people's merit and giving the title of nobility.And attacked the forces of the old aristocracy. A large number of FengJun was given the official post by states. Then, the new "Gong-Si" relationship was established in the centralized system of Warring States period.The fifth part is concluding remarks. This part outlines the evolution and development of the concept and scope of "Gong" and "Si", as well as its role in social development.
