In Chinese contemporary oil paintings, with the widespread use of personal symbolic language, its aesthetic value also can be fully reflected the increasing attention paid to the artist in the symbols of the works. The twentieth century, to Fang Lijun, Wang Guangyi, Zhang Xiaogang, Yue Minjun, Wang Jinsong, Yu Youhan as the representative of a large number of contemporary artists, they have a personal distinctive features of the "symbol" and the theme for creation unique to China, which shows a the psychological state of the times. This article from Susan Langer of the symbols ? aesthetic principle, analyzes the art of sign and symbol in art possess characteristics, and focus on the individual symbols from the art of emotion expressed by these artists to study how their own life experiences and on the emotional through "symbolic" language of art out of, and these "symbols" in the specific context of the positive significance of the play. Meanwhile, contemporary Chinese painting in the "symbols" of the numerous difficulties facing the phenomenon of reflection, I believe the Chinese contemporary oil painting with broader development prospects.
