Professor Zhangxiao Fu and Professor Liu Jian are. two masters in China's electronic music composition. In the past three decades, with full academic enthusiasm, they have been actively engaged in the experiments and exploration in this field. They ingeniously blend the ideas and techniques of the concrete music with the essence of traditional Chinese music, and reach the freewheeling state in the electronic music composition, composing a large number of excellent world-renowned works, which have attained the good combination of electronic music with Chinese music system and become an important genre in world electronic music composition. Their works not only extend the scope of western electronic music, but also add new modern elements to the traditional Chinese music system, making them of great value of research. With all the references published in the important domestic academic journals and dissertations reviewed, it can be found that articles on the audio features and electronic publishing of the works of the two masters have been quite rich, but there's no paper on the combination of western and China's traditional music represented in their works, nor research paper on their works representing cultural traditions of Chinese music. Therefore, in this article, according to the works of the two masters, the author makes some analyses targeting at the proposition of integration of the elements of traditional Chinese music with electronic music, focuses on explaining the penetration and direct expression of cultural elements of traditional Chinese music in electronic music works, and compares some mentalities, aesthetic angles and excellent techniques the two master carry in their creation. The basic structure of the article is as follows:chapter one is the description of quantization of elements of traditional Chinese music; chapter two explains the tradition of works of electronic music created by Zhang Xiaofu; chapter three explains the tradition of works of electronic music created by Liu Jian; in chapter four, comparisons are made between works created by Zhang Xiaofu and Liu Jian in terms of tradition.Due to the limitation of my knowledge and research, and lack of time and experience in the creation and research of electronic music, plus there's no chance to deeply communicate with the two composers, I am afraid that I am far from thoroughly and profoundly analyzing the masterpieces and creation concepts of the two masters. Thus, I restore the creation concepts only from the perspective of sound with the method of backward induction. However, the two composers mostly use 5.1 sound tracks or 8.1 sound tracks in their creations, and I can only feel the sound of audio layout by stereo sound, as a consequence, I can't make a profound and satisfying analysis of the two master's works; nevertheless, the basic ideas of the composers can still be reflected. Through constantly analyze and study the two masters'works, I have had a better understanding toward the speculative knowledge and the results I already have help to improve and refresh my ideas in electronic music composition, thus to put me in a higher level of understanding the theoretical knowledge in electronic music composition. If there are errors or inappropriate points of views in this thesis, correction and criticism are welcomed.
