Li Ye Study

Li Ye is a famous poetess of Middle-Tang Dynasty, known as the"the brilliant poetess". Her poetry is acclaimed as "the poetry proper of the Da Li Era". She has a good reputation in Middle-Tang Dynasty . She ,together with Xue Tao, Yu Xuanji , who are after her, is regarded as"three greatest poetesses in Tang Dynasty". Nevertheless, the ancient critics of her research is not comprehensive in-depth.The article will offer detailed information on the influence of Li Ye and her poetry on Tang Dynasty and literature of later ages, through researching her life and friendship, analyzing the spread and characteristics of her poetry .The artical includes four parts:Chapter I is about the life and friendship of Li Ye. First, according to historical records, and her poems, and with previous research results, we conclude that Li Ye shall name Ye , her word is Ji lan. Her origin birth palce is Wu Xing city of ZheJiang Province. She was born as early as 726, no later than 739.She died in July or Augst in 784.Second, The paper studies Le Ye's inertest of life and personality traits, mainly by Li Ye's sung poetry with others, figures who has friendship with her, and analysis of the common characteristics of her friends.Chapter II is about the contents and spread fo Li Ye`s poetry. First, investigating the spread and acception of Li Ye`s poretry ,by ordering the clustering and the transmission process of Poetry .Then, according to available information at hand, researching the residual and controversial poetry of Li Ye, judging that she wrote 21 peoms.Chapter III is the analysis of the creative features of Li Ye`s poems. Through specific analysis of Li Ye`s poems, we can divide the poems into four categories which are love, friendship, pastime and philosophizing. And thus study her characteistics of subject choice as a woman poetess. On this basis, further analyzing the art features of Li Ye`s poetry. She is skilled in the art of poetry writing, and she uses a variety of artistic techniques, mainly in three metrical which are using the code skillfully, experts in tracing and good at rhythms.Chapter IV investigates the influence of Li Ye`s poems and her own image in the future. First, we can investigate the influence form two aspects of her poetry , which are expression of feminine consciousness and nurturing of poetic style in Da Li. The former influence is the bold performance as the love and the pursuit of a clear understanding of love. The later influence is the formation of a'"leisure and fitness"of poety , but also has a limtations of"narrow subject matter", which are influenced by poetic style in Da Li. Second, discussing the influence of the image herself in the later, from the identity of poetess and a female Taoist priest.
