Growth And Experience

《Childhood Butterfly》is my graduation creations.It's a kind of hand painted animation which was made by myself originally from script,character set,original painting to computer processing.The inspiration of his animation came from the perception of my growing process and my nostalgia for childhood.To record this peried of my life in animation language has been my desire for a long time.It has been 7 years from my start learning animation and I also worked for some time during this period,so I well know the hard and complecated process of hand-painted original animation production.There is no doubt that China currently need good original hand-painted animation.For me personally my motivation of hand-printed creation came from not only the commercial or academic purposes but also my growth experience of learning painting since childhood. I would like to use this animation to record my growth and experience.I took the scene of this animation from some lane photoes in DongZhimen BeiJing.In the photoes there are careness from parents, children are chasing and playing games in the streets.All these are similar to my childhood.Such scenes expressed my nostalgia for childhood,my cherish and love for life.Butterfly in the animation has a metaphorical meaning.We can think of it as any tuining point during growth.Our life is just like butterflies with different stages.Different stages of experience has been reflected in different videos."Will my silkworm change into beautiful butterfly?Even now I can not sure that the moment when I open pencile box if what I saw the butterfly was true.But there are always beautiful butterflies flying into my dream of childhood and it make me can't distinguish fantasy and reality.Will all our childhood desires come true?I have no idea,and even don't want to know too early."(Taken from the end of《Childhood Butterfly》)The process of animation production let me experienced the childhood memary again.All these memaries are nice and will be retained in my heart forever though can not be touched once again.
