The object of the study was to investigate the relations among college students'adult attachment, trait meta-mood, and achievement motive and if there were significant gender, grade, major and school differences on them,especially to explore the indirect predictive influence of the trait meta-mood.To analyze the relationship between adult attachment, trait meta-mood and achievement motive,724 college students were chosen at random to complete the ECR (Experiences in Close Relationship Scale), TMMS (The Trait Meta-mood Scale), and AMS (Achievement Motivation Scale). The results of the research were as follows:(1) Anxious attachment and avoidant attachment had remarkable difference on grades, majors and gender of college students. The level of development of adult attachment was stable which was not affected by external causes in the college.(2) Attention of feeling, clarity of feeling and mood repair had remarkable difference on grades, major and gender.(3) There were no remarkable gender and grades difference in pursuing success and avoidant failure. But pursuing success and avoidant failure had remarkable difference on majors, science students were higher than arts students on achievement motivation.(4) The results of analysis showed that there were negative relation between anxious attachment and clarity of feeling and mood repair, between avoidant attachment and the meta-mood, between avoidant attachment and pursuing success,between clarity of feeling and mood repair and avoidant failure. There were positive relation between anxious attachment and avoidant failure, between avoidant attachment and avoidant failure, between meta-mood and pursuing success.(5) Anxious attachment and avoidant attachment directly affected achievement motivation. Anxious attachment and avoidant attachment had partially affected achievement motivation by meta-mood.(6) The meta-mood completely mediated the relationship between avoidant attachment and achievement motivation, the meta-mood partially mediated between anxious attachment and achievement motivation.
