In the history of Chinese painting , Shi Tao,a painter of Qing Dynasty ,is one of the great figures that can be numbered. His positions and painting practices exert an important influence on posterity ."Hua一yulu",his masterpiece ,shines with a splendid bright in the painting history of China.This thesis attempts to dig out the philosophical thoughts contained in Shi Tao's"Hua一yulu"from the perspective of subjective creation with the approach combining creation theory and philosophical study together. Through the philosophical study of Shi Tao's"The Law of Painting", the thesis reveals the philosophical origin and meaning of"The Law of Painting"on one hand. On the other hand, it talks about the subject of the creation in"Hua一yulu"and explains that the subject of the creation should be strict with themselves on the basis of"The Law of Painting".The thesis falls into seven parts, including introduction, five chapters and conclusion. The introduction gives a brief introduction of Shi Tao's career, the changes of his painting thoughts and the features of painting in his times. Chapter One defines"The Law of Painting"and finds out the philosophical origin of it and makes its relationship with the creation subject clear. Chapter Two analyzes the philosophical basis of"The Law of Painting"and reveals that"The Law of Painting", as the basis of Shi Tao's painting theory, originates from Taoism and supplies the creation subject with philosophical basis and theoretical support. Chapter three deals with the four phases the subject experienced during the creation of"Hua一yulu"and points out the necessity of the development of the art creation. Chapter five concentrates on the creation subject's practical ways, highlighting"shou"and"shi","change after achievement and comprehension", and emphasizes the importance of the creation way. Chapter five focuses on the creation subject's aesthetic attitudes in the art creation and connects the state of"refined"with"Eradicatio thorough examination","Xin zhai","Zuo wang". Chapter six talks about the artistic state the creation subject tries to achieve"Event trace of God". That is what the Taoists advocated"everything end to one". The last part serves as a conclusion, presenting that"Hua一yulu"was created on the basis of Taoism and the creation subject's original thoughts like"Wu Fa Er Fa","To open today by the ancient","Event trace of God". Affect the painting in China to a large extent.
