From the angle of structure of musicology, this paper elaborates on the objectivity of sense of times and history existing in Erhu's works, analyzes and expounds the dialectic relationship between a performer's subjective consciousness and musical works. Music, as a kind of artistic state, presents itself with the flowing of time; it produces dynamic and vivid artistic image by the hallmark—sound. For this reason, sound effect is the material state existing in musical structure. From such essential elements as sound, intensity and speed, this paper elaborates on a performer's attempts to interpret the signatures in musical works from a new perspective when practicing ongoing composition; to enrich playing techniques; to put forward the concept of "beauty" from the angle of aesthetics, and finally to complete the analysis and integration from theory to performance by expounding a performer's performance and gesture.The author thinks that, to excellent performers, we should grasp the relation between works, techniques and performance on a macroscopic level and deconstruct problems of every part on a microscopic level, applying the relation between the whole and part in philosophy, neither to exaggerate nor to ignore. This paper is hoped to promote a systematic and scientific performance in Erhu.
