The paper mainly carried out a preliminary exploration for methods of analysis by the name of Sanlian Musical Analysis (Triple Musical Analysis)by analysing classic opera SAVAGE LAND from Synaesthesia, association to thinking three stages, being based on the theory of the synaesthesia rules and the theory of musical expression which are broached by Prof. Zhou Haihong in his dissertation Yinyue Yuqi Biaoxiande Shijie—Dui Yinyue Yinxiang Yuqi Biaoxian Duixiang Zhijian Guanxi De Xinlixue Yu Meixue Yanjiu(Music and musical world—the pychology and aesthetics' study on the connection between the sound of music and it's performance object) and relevant knowledge involved in the psychology and the aesthetics of music. The essential purpose of my paper is to illuminate the musical form and content which are the core issue of aesthetics of music. It is not only to illuminate the A shows the B , the more important is how to do the A shows the B.The paper is divided into four parts: Part I (Chapter I):The introduction. It is mainly about the following issues that the origins and purpose of the study, the research situation at home and abroad about the opera SAVAGE LAND and musical analysis, the methodology, significance and target of the study. The second part (Chapter II to IV):The core content of the paper, which mainly defines and explains three different levels of analysis' methods including the synaesthesia, the association and the think and the related concepts. Then it analyses the part of the arias of the opera SAVAGE LAND by the corresponding methods. Part III (Chapter V):It is full of wrap-up statement.Proposing the Triple Musical Analysis, this paper also produces the following five specific research results: Firstly, selecting a new point of view for the study on the opera SAVAGE LAND and excavating a variety of its aesthetic significance; Secondly, implementing the practical inspection for Prof.Zhou Haihong's original theory in his dissertation and transformation from it to the methodology. Indeed, it is a scientific theory, which is reasonable and reliable by the inspection; Thirdly, interpreting and applicating some musical terminologies such as the musical emotion, the musical motif, the thinking, the three-stage deconstruction etc. Fourthly, the musical image is divided into two specific aspects which includes image of the event and the people. Moreover , it is divided into the elementary musical image, the mid-level musical image, the advanced musical image; Fifthly, creating three musical analysis' tables which includes the synaesthesia analysis' table, the association analysis' table and the thinking analysis' table.In my view, the method can play a role in the following two aspects: Firstly, demonstrating the music which has the musical motif or not; Secondly, providing a reference value to the composers, the performers, the appreciators and the reviewers. In addition, on its significance term, the paper illuminates the musical forms and contents which are the core issues of aesthetics of music, it can be said it makes some contribution to the development of musical analysis and musical aesthetics.However, on this stage, owing to this paper just analysis an opera, the applications of the method will be restricted.
