Abstract/Summary:
After the World War II, at the US-Soviet bipolar pattern, the Central and Eastern Europe had been the Soviet Union's sphere of influence. At the same time, it was the outpost which Soviet Union contended with the West Camp. In the socialist camp, Romania was a special country. On one hand, its political, economic, cultural, ideological and other things all copied from Soviet Union, it was a typical "Stalinism" country; On the other hand, it insisted on an independent foreign policy, Romania always maintained a certain distance with the Soviet Union. After 20 years of rule, in a sense, Romania has become Ceausescu a person's country. By 1989, because of the Romanian economic difficulties, the Romania people were extremely dissatisfied, and start sharpening the contradictions. After large-scale bloodshed, the president and his wife were put to death, and the NSF saved the power.This text cut in the December Events of Romania 1989, based on the materialist view of history, through the process of the entire case, in depth and systematic analysis of Romania dramatic changes in the form of violence, try to give this case a more objective evaluation. This paper includes four chapters:The first chapter outlined the December Events of 1989. First of all, pointed that the events of Romania of December were at the outbreak of Timisoara, decided by the cultural and historical traditions of this place. Then the chapter described all the details of the December events. Finally, the results of events were the Committee of National Salvation Front took power, and the president and his wife were executed.The second chapter reviewed the historical background of the December events of 1989. Firstly, described the Romania people under the rule of Ceausescu, they suffered from various suffering; then analyzed the waves of democratization in Eastern European countries, and Romania's reaction, people were looking forward to Romania's reform measures to emerge after the 14th Congress of the RCR However, they disappointed again. This chapter focuses of attention at the time of the 1980s why the people of Romania remained silence with Ceausescu's regime, and the reasons for a sudden outbreak in Romania.The third chapter is the most important part of this article. This article from Ceausescu himself, the Romanian national and international factors three levels, analysis why the Romania chose the form of violence, not the form of peace other East Europe countries experienced; and a military coup to overthrow the rule of Ceausescu can't succeed in Romania too. Then pointing out that the form of violence was the only choice in Romania, but also the form of inevitable .The final chapter at first reviewed the political process of Romania after the world war II, then summed up the historical significance of the December Events of 1989.
