The topic of "Humanism" has been discussed by people since the ancient times, and resulted in various kinds of understanding and interpretation in its long process of development.but the different kinds of humanism that appeared in history ,all viewed human beings as a kind of life or reality with other existences.lt explained and prescribed human from the perspective of existence.then presented the thoughts of Humanism on this basis.and explored issues of freedom and dignity.However, in Heidegger's view, it prescribed and explained human by the way of "forgetting being".therefore.this is a kind of metaphysical Humanism.also a kind of failure.In view of this. Heidegger attempted to reveal the only possible realm that can prescribe the essence of human and restore the basic meaning of Existence to make people get the way back to existential truth and to reconstruct Humanism. On the one hand, this article studies the history and significance of Humanism , on the other hand, it discusses Heidegger's humanism.it attempts to demonstrate that although Heidegger criticized the traditional humanism.he did not abandon and deny it completely,instead he tried to get rid of the prescription from mataphysics for the essence of human and treats humanism in a more primordial standpoint.This article contains three chapters: chapter I emphasizes the study of history and significance of Humanism.It is divided into three sections.ln section l,several translations of Humanism are collated and stipulated, and the original meaning of Humanism is explained.Section II shows several main representative thoughts of Humanism in the history.Section III shows Sartre'Humanism. Chapter II focuses on the study of Heidegger's explanation and criticism towards the previous Humanism.This chapter is also divided into two sections.Section 1 is a overall picture of Heidegger's exposition of the previous Humanism. Section II is about Heidegger's criticism towards the previous metaphysical Humanism. Chapter III focuses on Heidegger's Humanism. Section I analyses the relation between the Existence and the Humanism.This section is the radically reformed precondition for Heidegger's Humanism which is expounded from positive side so that he can get rid of the metaphysical thinking way. Section II shows the way how Heidegger considered the essence of human dynamically and hoped that the modern people who live in homeless can return and defend being to establish his own Humanism on the basis. Section III points out several defects of Heidegger's Humanism.
