| The rapid development of China and the whole world has required more study on the theory of relationship between man' s all-round development and social harmony, which has been widely discussed in politics, economy, philosophy, social development and environment studies home and abroad. The theory has emerged as a focus in the socialist theoretical innovations at the beginning of the 21 century. The development of the theory takes its roots in the pressing problems in social development. The 20 century has seen enormous development of social productivity, and at the same time, severe environmental deterioration. In the process of changing nature, developing social productivity, human ignores or even disobeys natural laws, causing population explosion, resource exhaustion, eco-imbalance and environment deterioration, which together pose threats to the sustainable development of human society.The thesis, which attempts to explore the relationship of man' s all-round development and harmonious society from the perspective of subjectiveness theory, and analyses in detail its realistic implications for China today, it is consisted of the following four sections:In the first section, Marxist theory on subjectivity is explained. This theory highlights the unification of subjectivity and objectivity, and activeness and passiveness. Then the social reasons for the popularity of subjectiveness are discussed based on China's current social conditions. The second section is the key part of the thesis, analyzing the harmonious society from a subjectiveness viewpoint. The thesis holds that the starting point of a harmonious society is realistic people, the value objective of a harmonious society is people in the first place, key issue people's overall development, material precondition enormous productivity development. Then the thesis moves on with the discussion of in-harmonious issues. It is believed that the society has been split up, with multivariate interests groups with strong desire for material gains, and this situation is worsened by the underdevelopment of socialist market mechanism during China's current transition period. It is pointed out that different interests should be coordinated for the building of a harmonious society. The third section expounds on man' s all-round development from the following aspects: people's needs, quality, social connections and personalities. Then rationality and irrationality are dealt with, echoing with the coordination of interests in previous part. In the last section, the thesis discusses the relevance of socialist harmonious society and people's overall development, pointing out that the two are not only relevant in theory, but also in practice: they are both highly relevant in the historic process of building a harmonious society. This section, after studying the existing problems in today's society, figures out ways to realize people's value and promote man's all-round development so as to speed up the building of a harmonious socialist society.Scientific concept of development and theories to build a harmonious society has enormously enriched Marxist theory on people's overall development, providing realistic factors for the fulfillment of this development. A harmonious society requires the harmonious development between people, people and nature, and people and society, with people's overall development as its basic requirement. Marxist subjectiveness theory today also calls for people's overall development. |
