Wang Chong Literary Thought

Wang Chong is a unique thinker in the Han Dynasty, he neither lies in the Ru nor the Dao.He build his own system on the base of predecessors 'thought from Qin to Han Dynasty by thinking independently .Lun Heng contains rich and valuable wealth of literary and artistic thought.It is regrettable that this has not been concerned in the history of literary theory properly. It is gratifying to note that in recent years, more and more scholars concern literary and artistic thought of Wang Chong. I am interested in it too .Wang Chong hate "fabricated illness" but in favor of "sincere and realistic" .I found the so-called Wang "truth" contained two major dimensions: things really and truly love through studying it .The first dimension also contains the logic of a group of three related dimensions: practical truth, moral truth, logical truth. Although Wang's "truth" reflected in a more epistemological concepts, not from a literary point of view, but he provides a good perspective of thinking for future generations, that is, truth, goodness and aesthetic of how best to achieve balance."Qi" is the intrinsic cues of lun Heng. We investigated a series of questions relating it ,such as; the relationship between nature ,talent and force; the differences between the talent people and ordinary people ; the attitude about how the literature improve; something about image. If we leave the inherent philosophy , these questions will become the leaves of rootless trees swaying in the wind.we made a further inspection, and found that the concept "nature" in the Lun Heng, in fact, contains two levels: the first ,it decide the people 's capacity ,which can not be changed ;the second ,it decide the people's good and evil, which can be changed through educating .And latter is the foundation of study. Beside that, we explore many problems : the knowledge acquiring and establishing, the attitude about how to study.About his idea of literature, We explore three questions : the concept of literature, the relationship between forms and contents , the use of literature.
