Akira Kurosawa and Yasujiro Ozu as two famous film directors in Japaese film history had made enormous contribution to the development of Japanese film. They all are experts in understanding their nation culture and applied it to their cinematographic works, making their film having distinct national identity.This essay fits into threse chapters:The first chapter,"national identity",has analyzed from the aspect:the aesthetic penetration,the nation psychology depicting,the national spirit embodiment.First,Japanese tradition energy drama had an effort on their t cinematographic works.Akira Kurosawa's cinematographic works had obivious engergy drama effect trail. Energy drama effect to Ozu main behaved on stylistic.Second,their cinematographic works carried out Japan contradiction seresitive mentality. Third, Because Japan affected over much by Buddhism culture, Akira kurosawa's cinematographic works had shown group and faithful monarch concept represented by Bushidoand and Ozu had distinctly stuctured a family space in his cinematographic works.The second chapter"creative personality", has assumed parallel analysis what different art characteristic having from their film, to announce to their different appreciation of the beauty characteristic. First,analysed the difference that their film existed in style and appreciation of the beauty. Judging from image overall style, Akira Kurosawa's film had actualism keynote, and ozu's film was full of the romantism color . Second, comparative analysised three second section: the space characteristic , time characteristic , lens analyses difference that romantism exist in film language. Third, comparatived differences in personage image. Personage image in their film was molding existence type-rization and individuation, from the difference putting forth strength on personage images of a group and putting pen to paper on secondary concrete personage.The third chapter,"Context of culture"has analyzed the context of culture that national identity and creating personality both exists in their cinematographic works.First,analysed the historical setting that Japanese film develops. before Japanese film development initial stage they accepted west film effect obviously, but they all can keep distinct national identity. Second, from their respective growing up go start, analysed an impact of they growing up experiences over their creation personality .
