Referential theory is the core issue of philosophy of language, at the same time, it is a question that both philosophers and linguists pay more attention to how language relates to the world. Referential theory is a kind of semantic view based on objective expirism, which emphasizes the corresponding relation between language expressions and the world. Reference involves not only the meaning of language, but also the existence of objects as well as the relation between objects and words. In the early 19th century,"linguistic turn" appeared in western philosophy. From the angle of language use, scholars reconstructed and elucidated the referential theory, which made the referential theory change from the traditional semantic view to pragmatic reference. The meaning study of philosophy is combined with the factor of context in pragmatics to ascertain the referential relation of language expressions in concrete context. The thesis mainly aims at studying the word unit and regards context as paramete, combining words with pragmatic factors such as addresser, addressee and communicative purpose to study the referential relation of language expressions in the concrete context. Based on analyzing and apprehending the semantic and pragmatic factors, context theory is reconstructed and provides a new way and theoretical foundation for studying referential theory. So the factor of context is introduced into the philosophy of language to dynamicly make researches on language expressions and reference objects as well as the relation between them. The thesis attempts to find some rules within different types of context and reconstructs referential theory within dynamic context.
