Bernard Williams, the greatest English philosopher in his time, his critique towards Utilitarianism and Kant's Ethics,as well as the research into the essence of morality, has vital important influence on Western Ethics in the past 3 decades. As for him, modern world is irreversibly different from any world in which human beings have lived, which has unprecedented needs for ethical thought. However, most rational contemporary philosophy represented by Utilitarianism and Kant's Ethics cannot meet them.He not only pointed out that the concept of "morality" had changed greatly from the ancient world, but atso outlined the characteristics of the moral system, such as its misunderstanding obligation, thinking practical, necessity peculiar to the ethical.,thinking ethical practical necessity peculiar to obligation, and so on.He also criticized Kant's moral system, who is the most important philosopher in his opinion. In this Paper,I mainly focused on his critique towards Kant's moral system on some important concepts of the system as well as characteristics of it, such as the supremacy of moratity, the concept of morality, practical rationality, inevitable conflicts of moral obligation, practical necessity, and the purity of the system. There is atso a brief introduction to the reply and evaluation of other western philosophers on this subject, and a clarification of the relationship between Williams' ethical thoughts and relative ethical. branches.I also brought forward some questions at the end of the Paper which formed during the period of my writing and required further research to find the answer.
