All of these fairy tales and fanciful details result in constructing a magical literary world in Zhang's novels. Both the 'external' and 'internal' aspects melting perfectly, makes Zhang Wei's fiction charming and attractive.Then, the author will probe into the 'external field' in Zhang Wei's fiction to find out how does this element manage to participate in framing the fiction. Many critics have pointed out that the magical style of Zhang's writing is deeply influenced by Latin American Magic Realism, while the writer himself denies this impact and firmly attributes it to the culture of his hometown-Jiaodong Peninsula. The author stands on the same side with the writer in this point. Zhang Wei calls this folk culture-Qi Culture, which fosters vigorousness as well as imaginary elements. Affected by Qi Culture, the writer applied quite specific language mode to build up his stories, and managed to create a fantastic atmosphere in the narration.The core image in Zhang Wei's fiction is 'mother earth', In a sense, we could say that almost all the creatures including human beings and wizards in Zhang's novels, have built up intimate relationship with the 'mother earth'. Such a phenomenon could be attributed to the sensitive feelings towards the 'mother earth' of the writer himself. In all, the gifted sensibility of Zhang Wei, as well as the infiltration of Qi Culture enables his novels unique and distinguishing in contemporary literary world.
