| The aspect of verb is of importance in Russian grammar and stands in the centre of the grammar system, which is the reason for its being the most difficult and controversial area in grammar research. The traditional grammar, due to its detailed description of the language system, is concise and easy to understand. However, the traditional grammar is the kind of grammar which puts form into the utmost concern and meanwhile ignores meaning. In traditional grammar, the description on verb aspect focuses is static, isolated which emphasis on the form and cares less about meaning. However, the functional grammar, being in contrast to the traditional grammar and giving attention on the speaker, is the grammar system which emphasis on semantic category and follows the route of meaning-form. In Russia, its major representative isÐ.Ð’.Бондарко. he built up semantic functional grammar system based on semantic category and advocates the research methodology which follows the route of function-method, or in other words, from meaning to form. Based on this method, he also put forward a functional semantic field theory and situational category theory. The core ofБондарко's functional grammar lies in the functional semantic field theory which forms a triangle including semantic category, functional semantic field and situational category. This thesis will be based on the situational category theory inÐ.Ð’.Бондарко's theory. To discuss the meaning of the perfect aspect of verb in Russian language, a great number of sentence examples will be provided. This research will give the verb more denotation and connotation and provide more room for further research on verbs which, to some extent, can also provide guidance on language teaching and daily communication. |
