In this paper, using Jinshan peasant paintings as the basic object, we discussed thedevelopment and changes in paintings after the end of the Cultural Revolution. Basedon a large number of first-hand information, we wrote the paper from the point ofview of anthropology, used the country image as a starting point, and analyzed itsperformance and implication.In the first chapter, we discussed the main five categories of country image.In the second chapter, starting from the works of paintings, we drew the basiccharacteristics of the paintings through several specific performances of the countryimage, such as composition, shape, color, technique, etc, compared the differentcountry image performances from various places, and described how it reshaped thelocal geographical and cultural as emphasis.In the third chapter, we focused on the implication of country image. From the lifemeaning in the color of the subject and the real life in the folk culture, we analyzedthe cultural implication behind the local color, and built a local cultural system in theprocess of country image interpretation.In the fourth chapter, we overall looked the changes of characteristics in the threedecades development, summarized the differences reflect the history in the concreteand the implication. And we discussed the changes of country image influenced bycultural consciousness, rural modernization and market factors, from internal creationmethod changes and external social cultural changes.In this paper, we attempted to explore the cultural significance in the works through aneutral value perspective, in ways of collecting first-hand materials and scrutinizingart text.
