Art originates from life yet is larger than life.Real life is vivid and complex.The feeling of artists to an object contains not only the understanding of reality,but also their own feelings,which is sentiment of the object.The grasp of the object is beyond appearance,which ultimately and perfectly combines subjective and objective,achieving the unity of people and object.Therefore,the flower-and-bird painting shows the natural beauty of flowers and birds.More important,by depicting birds and flowers,it expresses the "meaning",which is more than the flower and bird itself.The article will discuss the relationship between "image" and "meaning" and the conversion from "image" to "meaning" in the process of creation.First,the discovery and interpretation of "Meaning" and "image" Theory.Second,discussing the relationship between "meaning" and "image" from the observation and structure of painting.Third,discussing the "meaning" from conception,composition,creating concept in the process of creation.
