This paper attempts to break the long-standing "separatist" views in the study of Mu Shi Ying's novel,to explore the feeling structure and individual psychology as the same points through his different themes in novel.Then analyze these two factors with the characteristics of Shanghai's 1920^th to 1930^th.The paper beginning on the analysis of Mu Shi Ying's novel,such as《North And South》,which descript the lives of the poor in Shanghai.Through this description,the paper will analyze the poor's feeling structure,which based on the "Material".The individualism in the deep psychological of the poor will also be descript in this chapter.Then,in the second part of the paper,the novel series《Cemetery》,《Platinum Stature Of Woman》and《Feelings Of Virgin》will be analyzed.This series of analytical chapters aims at the identity label and lives style of people living in Shanghai which based on the feeling structure of material.Feelings deep in heart of people living in the city,such as "Tired" and "Lonely" will also be described in this part.Then the paper will analyze the formation of these feelings,and explore the connection between city-feeling-structure and the characteristics of the city.Finally,in the third part of the paper,city-feeling-structure and individualism in the deep psychological of people living in Shanghai which works in different themes of Mu Shi Ying's novel will be described in a comprehensive process.In this part, how the characteristics of Shanghai 1920^th～1930^th influent the formation of feelings-structure and deep psychological will be analyzed.And in this way,the paper will give an explanation of many important factors in Mu Shi Ying's novel. And the conclusion part will tell in brief why the writer's writing career and Shanghai "new sense" withering away under this background.
