Greece, The Wise Philosophy Of The New Exploration

The status of Sophists has not got a just evaluation ever since a long time ago. Hegel is the first philosopher who gave positive evaluation to the Sophists; however, the opinion of him has not been paid much attention. In this text, according to Hegel'opinion ,I attempted to discuss the Sophists in the view of the whole history of philosophy. The philosophy of Sophists is the beginning of self-aware philosophy. It started the reflecting period of the whole history of philosophy. Firstly, I compared sophistic theory with the philosophy before it, and then pointed out the philosophy of Sophists is a turning point of philosophical evolution. Secondly, I pointed out the direct origin of sophistic theory---- the theory of"Nous", and analyzed the meaning of"Nous"and sophistic theory. Finally, I compared sophistic theory with the philosophy after it, and then pointed out its advantages and disadvantages.
