The quality and quantity of both original works and adaptations have arrived at a new height. "Silent Oath", "Files of Plum Blossum", "A Pair of Embroidered Shoes", "Plot" etc. Have all won approval for their rich artistic content as well as good audience rate.Compared with the anti-spy movie, which was very popular in the 1950s, espionage TV serials have different artistic and narrative characteristics because of the differences in era and genre. This paper aims to analyze the concept and historical development of the espionage TV serials, which grows prosperous in the new century. Basing on a summary of the anti-spy movies, this paper mainly dwells on the character personality, artistic content and narrative skills. In the present time, espionage TV serials adopt the latest pattern recognitions to build their mainststream ideology, and inherit the traditional narrative skill during its creation. Suspenses are used very often in order to make the story more attractive, but this is not a unique technique. The author of this paper considers the skill of shifting and broadening the narrative perspective as equally important.There are two types of characters impress audience most in the espionage TV serials, that is, new heroes and female spies.
