BiGong is the longest poem of The Book of Songs. The poem includes 142 sentences and 482 characters. There are many debates on the author,created time and subject. Around these controversial threads,this paper is divided into four chapters.Chapter1 is the author of BiGong.Firstly,by summarizing the study wsituation ,we know there are two views on this subject:one is ShiKe,and the other is XiSi. Testing these views in detail,and analying their inadequate,we come to the conclusion: the author of BiGong is in Ruling class,but we can't determine who do it.Chapter2 is the created time.From the worship object"Huang Huang HouDi,HuangZu HouJi", memorying Tian and distributing HouJi, we know Lu is on rural festival.ChunQiu XiGong 31th records Lu is on rural festival at first.Poem and history proving each other,we infer that BiGong is witten on XiGong 31th, that is BC629.Chapter3 is the gist of BiGong.Firstly, being summed up as the views in history, then basing on the text, and consulting ChunQiu, assurance the gist.As an ode, BiGong recounts benefaction of the ancestors at first, immediately next then descript the grand scene of the memorial ceremony,then sings the praises of LuXiGong, put particular emphasis on territory,as a result, the primary intention of BiGong is to extol the contribution of LuXiGong on recover and extensive of territory.Chapter4, BiGong has important historical material value.We can know some situation of Lu,for example, through the recall object, articles for use ,we know Lu use the ceremonial music of TianZi.The grand scene and the contribution unfold the national power of Lu.
