JIA Pingwa'language idea benefits from the influence of the dialect of Guan Zhong area in which he lives. And the objective is to study the language of the novel Qin Qiang through JIA Pingwa's language idea.Secondly, the unvarnished regional characteristics of the language in Qin Qiang are elaborated. JIA Pingwa uses the Guan Zhong dialect in the novel Qin Qiang, thereby exhibits the aboriginal social life and folk-custom. It is JIA Pingwa's subjective literary pursuits and the objective needs due to the artistic mode of Qin Qiang. This chapter discovered the regional characteristics of the language in Qin Qiang by choosing and studying the proper noun from the life and production, especially the words about food culture. Finally, the historical culture characteristics of the language in Qin Qiang are elaborated. Most of dialects in Qin Qiang, which are seldomly used in literary language, are deriven from the ancient classics, although they seem to be so simple. They are the carrier of not only Guan Zhong traditional culture but Chinese ones. They are the living fossil of language, which are still used in modern spoken language. And some of them are used in both Guan Zhong dialect and literary language from ancient to modern times, but they generate different meaning in Guan Zhong dialect comparing to the literary language. What's more, the writer renews the original meaning of some words, which gives the novel an aesthetic effect------language strangeness. Due to the using of these Guan Zhong dialects closely related to ancient Chinese, JIA Pingwa's novel language in Qin Qiang becomes simple and classical. |
