Baroque was originally used as an art term to describe a sort of European art style. Since nineteen centuries,this word has been adapted for literature,which made significant impact on the western criticize field.However,because of the obscure bounds and ambiguous style,baroque was never defined clearly as being a literary term.The discussion concerning the literary term of baroque was always following the way of history of literature and of typology respectively.Therefore,with the purpose of trying to give literary "baroque" a specific definition,this dissertation started from baroque art to discuss whether "baroque" could be used as a period concept or a sort of style which would appear in each period.
