Two-piano Music, The Preliminary Study And Case Analysis

Two-piano recital is the art of cooperation, through the cooperation of the two performers, to a common interpretation of the overall structure of music and music content. When the two performers are playing in one musical works, they must reach a consensus on the content, structure, performance and sound processing techniques of the musical works, and then interpreted the works better. Therefore, the two-piano recital is a particularly effective method in the piano education to training students'music imagination, creativity and ability to cooperate. Two-piano music has a special significance on the promotion and research in piano music education of China. This paper reviews the history of two-piano music, the sound structure and morphology of the two-piano music, the music features and technical characteristics of the two-piano music works were discussed. Among the two-piano works, this article choose the first pair of Rachmaninoff Piano Suite "picture of Fantasia" for the case, its music form and features both are detailed analyzed, and link with the practice of playing experience, described the specific performance techniques of "picture of Fantasia".
