Viewing from the present situation of accordion discipline, since 1950s worldwide accordion art has developed into layout having the numerous specialized composers to carry on the creation and presented the massive modern accordion work. This kind of situation is not only restricted in Russia, but also involves Europe and the world. In many specialized accordion composers, the French composer, Franck Angelis holds the important position in the world accordion domain because of the composition style which has a special inventive mind, and his work achieved accordion performer's affection. Also, "Hopeless situation" is one of the most popular works, and is widely applied in many kinds of accordion concerts and competitions.Modernistic accordion work is difficult to understand and master, we should go to the sensation of"the grammar structure"of these modern works at deep levels. Therefore, the author attempts to elaborate the work's connotation, dialysis composer's creation style, give brief information of the performance through the research to Angelis'work---"hopeless situation", in order to promote understanding and grasp of the performers and audience.This thesis is composed of four chapters, the synopsis is as follows:The introduction part mainly introduces the composers and the works survey, analyses the present situation of research on this topic both at home and abroad, as well as sketches out the goal and significance of writing this paper.Chapter One: Composer and Creation Background. Starting with Angelis and his principal production, this chapter introduces the composer and his works'influence in the modern accordion field. It also outlines time region as well as music culture of total background during which the composer lives, and foreshadows for the concrete research.Chapter Two: Music Main Body Analysis. This chapter carries on the deep-level, multiple- perspectives and concrete research on four music movements of "Hopeless situation" , separately in the musical form and the sound, the mode adjusts aspects, melody rhythm and development technique and so on, clarifies and analyzes the ideal condition of the work, and makes the summaries for the main creation techniques of each music movement, to complete the full theory basis for characteristic's elaboration of the third chapter's creation style as well as the title explanationChapter Three: Characteristics of Creation Style and Title Explanation. This chapter elaborates the main composition techniques of "Hopeless situation" and summarizes Angelis'individual initiative style and characteristics according to his other important works , simultaneously this title carries on the analysis and explanation to "Hopeless situation" in discussion type.Chapter Four: Music Performance Prompt. Still in the orders of four music movements and with the creation style characteristics, this chapter gives the suggestion prompt on the performance method of the entire music, and gives the key explanation for the characteristic performance techniques.Finally, to summarize and conclude the key position as well as the artistic value of Angelis and his work in the accordion domain.
