Among the early large-sized compositions of Tchaikovsky. Piano Concerto No.1's shows us real pleasant personality and optimism. It is called the peak of Russian piano music in 19th century, and it is ,in 20th century, the most ingenious composition in European music art world as well—being filled with youthful warmth and brilliance. This paper researches, analyizes and introduces it from various aspects in detail in order to have thorough understanding and to annotate this masterpiece.This article is divided into three chapters. The 1st chapter introduces Russian music and related musicans. The 2nd chapter mainly introduces the Characteristics of Tchaikovsky's music comprehensively. The 3rd chapter introduces the Piano Concerto No.1's background and process of creation as well as analyizes the Piano Concerto No.1 from music style and emotional substance emphatically, and a large number of ethnomusicology application.
